Durant Toyota Offers Special Toyota Rebates for College Grads

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Durant Toyota, in partnership with Toyota Financial Services, is proud to offer new graduates a $1000 rebate on any new 2010 Toyota Camry (excluding Hybrid model), Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Tacoma or Yaris vehicle.

Toyota has a great selection of vehicles perfect for economical college grads like the Rav 4, the Corolla or the Camry.

The Toyota RAV4 comes in Base, Sport and Limited trims, with either a four-cylinder or a V6 engine, and either front-wheel drive or an on-road-biased all-wheel-drive system.  Automatic transmissions come standard (a four-speed unit for the four-cylinder, a five-speed auto for the V6). The 179-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder provides surprisingly good acceleration and excellent fuel economy.

2010-toyota-corolla-fort-worthThe Toyota Corolla sedan is available in five trim levels: base, LE, S, XLE and XRS. Fuel economy has always been a Corolla hallmark. To this end, all Corollas but the XRS model employ an updated version of Toyota’s venerable 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, which is renowned for its efficiency. This 132-horsepower power plant manages to make the current Corolla a hair faster than its predecessor while still returning comparable gas mileage.

The latest Toyota Camry is offered as a front-wheel-drive, midsize four-door sedan. Four traditional Camry trim levels are offered: base, LE, sporty SE and luxurious XLE. Even the base model includes stability control, air-conditioning, full power accessories, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a six-speaker CD audio system, satellite radio and Bluetooth.

In addition to the $1,000 rebate, the college grad rebate program offers no money down and no monthly payments for first 90 days, Complimentary Roadside Assistance for one year and Competitive Annual Percentage Rates on their Toyota purchase. To take advantage of the program, graduating Toyota Shoppers must provide proof of the following: graduation, present or future employment, and collision insurance.

This special offer for new graduates is available through January 3, 2011. For more information on the Toyota College Graduate Rebate Special, visit http://www.jerryduranttoyota.com/Graduate-Rebate/

Fort Worth Toyota Dealer Prepares for 2012 Plug-in Hybrids

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Plug-in hybrids will be available at local Fort Worth Toyota dealerships in 2012, according to the “2010 Toyota Sustainable Mobility Seminar.”

The “2010 Toyota Sustainable Mobility Seminar” featured presentations and panel discussions from global experts in energy, science and economics to explore the future of mobility.

“Our business is no longer simply about building and selling cars and trucks,” said John Hanson, national manger, environmental, safety and quality communications. “To provide truly sustainable mobility for the future, we must explore new energy sources, new partnerships and new ways of doing business.”

The seminar for business, automotive and environmental media and analysts also offers attendees the first opportunity to drive the 2010 Prius Plug-in Hybrid (PHV) demonstration program vehicle. The Prius PHV expands Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive technology with the introduction of a first generation lithium-ion drive battery that enables all-electric operation at higher speeds and longer distances than the conventional Prius.

When fully charged, the vehicle is targeted to achieve a maximum electric-only range of approximately 13 miles and will be capable of achieving highway speeds up to 60 mph in electric-only mode. For longer distances, the Prius PHV reverts to “hybrid mode” and operates like a regular Prius, a popular model for Fort Worth Toyota drivers.

“True sustainable mobility will not be achieved without societal acceptance,” concluded Hanson. “In the end, the customer and the market will decide.”
